This gateways series allows to integrate devices with open and proprietary protocols into Niagara Framework and/or to perform data accounting operations, in different modes, IP or serial. Thanks to the integrated SD Card slot and Real Time Clock, it is possible to activate the Data Logger function for storing historical data and the following download on the Niagara platform (DLOG version only). These gateways can be used with any JACE model (in IP or serial version) or interfaced by a supervisor (IP version only). The CONV version allows the conversion of IP-serial data. The RIP-485 version allows repetition of the 485 signal with galvanic separation. The firmware update function is simplified using the IP connection or SD card.

The QContax DLog gateway is a data logger interface for energy or process monitoring without installing a field controller (PLC).

Data are captured by multiple Modbus devices (multimeters or I/O modules), encrypted and stores in the integrated SD Card. Then the data are sent via a periodic export process to the Niagara service, installed on a remote server. This service allows simultaneous management of data logging and data analysis from multiple QContax DLog interfaces.

The data logger is easily configurable via a web interface; it is possible to define the operating parameters – sample records, sampling interval, the size/number of records to be memorized on the history – up to a maximum of 5000 records for each log. The Niagara service allows to receive data from the data logger with the possibility of configuring measurement units, time zones, conversion and data aggregation functions for each log.

The QContax-IONET Gateway enables integration of the Emerson CPC IO-Net Multiflex I/O cards into Niagara Framework. The interface can be used with any JACE. Thanks to this solution it is possible to acquire control of the Emerson I/O Multiflex cards and directly manage all the control logics on JACE. This allows all field modules to be preserved, including probes, sensors, actuators, wiring, etc., already present in the field, saving time and money.

The device is equipped with:

The card is only compatible with the JACE-300 and JACE-600 series, as the installation includes the option card slot available only for those two series of controllers.
